Tonight, on International Women’s Day, some of the women powering Genesis Biosciences will be attending the South Wales Chamber of Commerce’s Welsh Business Awards.

We’re incredibly proud to be finalists in the Success Through Innovation category for 2017!

The Welsh Business Awards recognise the very best from businesses across Wales. These awards celebrate success, excellence in best practice and the contribution Welsh businesses make to the wider community.

Similarly, we strive in our work to produce excellent, environmentally-responsible products using intelligent scientific solutions.

Our contributions to our industry – and to the community as a whole – are only possible because of our incredible, hard-working team.

With a roster of great talent in our ranks, we’d like to take today (International Women’s Day!) to introduce you to just some of the women powering Genesis Biosciences.

(And, if you are attending tonight’s awards, don’t forget to say hi to any of us four below!).

Emma is powered by a drive to use science to solve problems and make the world a better place. She champions Genesis and helps us commercialise our innovate technology, and played a big role in us winning both the ‘Technology & Innovation Business of the Year at the Cardiff Business Awards and theSustainability Product Innovation’ award at the Edie Sustainability Awards in 2015.

Lauren is our QC and Laboratory Technician. She plays a key role in day to day operations of the Technical Department, in particular Quality Control analysis of production samples,  sample preparation and equipment calibration.

Katie Edwards

Katie, one of our talented Research & Development scientists, keeps us innovative by developing and finding new applications for our our products.

With a passion for championing and improving environmentally-responsible products – inspired by years of watching the ‘Really Wild Show’ and David Attenborough documentaries – Katie helps us change people’s perception of how ‘good bacteria’ can keep things clean without harming the planet.

Sophie is our Commercial Support Assistant. She is an integral part of commercial operations at Genesis Biosciences, in particular sales and customer support, as well as support in marketing and PR functions.

We’d like to wish good luck to all our fellow finalists at tonight’s awards!
