The Genesis Biosciences team is very pleased to share that we have recently won an award for Sustainability through Innovation at the inaugural National Environmental Awards 2021.
The awards were set up to celebrate businesses in Wales that are looking for solutions to environmental problems and aiding in the drive to become more sustainable given the global climate change issue.
We put forward our Biogas Additive for the award, a product that in recent trials has proven to aide in the yield of Biogas from anaerobic digestion systems, a renewable energy source that could be vital in the fight against climate change. We’ll be talking more about our Biogas product in the coming months following the conclusion of some key trials so watch this space to hear more about the positive effects Evogen Biogas Additive can have on AD systems.
The awards ceremony was hosted online and whilst the team watched on, Dr. Emma Saunders was available to accept the award, saying ‘Congratulations to all the other finalists and winners! This award means an awful lot to us as our eco-benign® philosophy is at the heart of everything we do. In markets that are dominated by harsh chemicals, we try to lead the way in developing products that put environmental considerations first. It provides recognition for all the work our scientists are doing and inspires the team to develop other environmentally responsible innovations and bring those to market.’
In other awards news, we have also been nominated in the following categories of the Cardiff Business Awards 2021: Green Business of the Year, Innovation Business of the Year and Technology Business of the Year.
The Cardiff Business Awards celebrate business excellence and showcase the vast potential within the Welsh capital city. This year will be the 7th awards evening – a black tie event will be held on the 26th November at the stunning Cardiff City Hall.
