We’re pleased to announce Genesis Biosciences is now listed as an approved supplier of surface Sanitiser with the UK Government’s Crown Commercial Service.

This means we are now listed in a government catalogue which has been set up specifically to support public sector buyers with goods and services owing to COVID-19.

Which of our products is listed?

You’ll find our Evogen Professional General Purpose Sanitiser listed with the Crown Commercial Service.

Our surface sanitiser can be used in homes or commercial spaces. Use it on hard surfaces, including countertops, taps, handles, doors and toilets, and on standalone objects too, like card payment machines and other common touch points.

Following the pandemic, we had the product independently tested in a UK-based laboratory, using the latest Gold Standard COVID-19 Vaccinia testing. The testing resulted in a 99.99% virucidal kill and has been proven to have broad range efficacy against bacteria and viruses, including all coronaviruses and SARS-CoV-2 (the virus which causes COVID-19).

We have various pack sizes available to assist in the cleaning of premises during post-lockdown reopening, from 500mL all the way up to 1000L IBCs.

What is the Crown Commercial Service?

CCS plays an important role helping the UK public sector save money when buying common goods and services.

They are the biggest public procurement organisation in the UK, and use commercial expertise to help buyers in central government and across the public and third sectors to purchase everything from locum doctors and laptops to police cars and electricity.

The collective purchasing power of their customers, plus their procurement knowledge, means they can get the best commercial deals in the interests of taxpayers.

Why use it?

Procurement regulations oblige public sector bodies to tender (seek bids) from suppliers when they want to buy goods and services above a certain value. Buying through CCS complies with procurement regulations but simplifies the process for buyers.

CCS’s commercial agreements have standardised contract terms and guidance for buyers. Their service is free to use for public sector and third sector organisations; for example, local authorities, charities and housing associations.

How to use it

If you’re a third sector or public sector organisation, head to the interactive catalogue on the UK Government website.

Search for the business or product name you’d like – for example, ‘Genesis Biosciences’ – and learn more about the products on offer, and how to get in touch.

For all General Purpose Sanitiser quantities, you can email sp@genesisbiosciences.com to set up your order.

  • Hi,

To be sure that your products have been tested in a UK laboratory, please can you confirm which laboratory carried out the testing and when exactly?

    • Hi Leyton,

Many thanks for your comment and interest in our products.

Our external antiviral and antibacterial testing of the General Purpose Sanitiser was carried out by BluTest Laboratories back in 2020. Please feel free to contact us via e-mail if you would like some further information on our products, or if you would like to receive a copy of the test reports.

You can contact us at info@genesisbiosciences.com.

We look forward to hearing from you.
