We are pleased to unveil a new Evogen Biogas Additive product formulation optimised for plant-based feedstock.
The Evogen Biogas Additive was initially launched in Italy in 2020 as part of our innovative microbial product range for waste water treatment.
Due to tremendous demand, we have extended the line to offer a product tailored to work optimally with plant-based feedstock (such as maize, cereals and rapeseed) which we are now bringing to the market across Europe.
What is the product for?
The ability to use microorganisms to enhance the production of methane rich biogas from sewage sludge, organic waste matter and crops offers the potential to produce heat and electricity from what is a continuous and growing waste source.
Through the anaerobic digestion process, specialised microbes interact in the absence of oxygen to breakdown the organic components of sludge and waste to facilitate biogas production. This greatly decreases the final volume of the original waste whilst yielding energy that can be used to offset plant processing and operating costs.
Our new Evogen Biogas Additive formula contains specific Bacillus strains selected for their ability to degrade a wide range of organic and plant-based matter with specialist fungi and enzymes and a novel mineral carrier to bolster the microbial components of the anaerobic digestion system. This means it increases biogas generation and renewable energy production and mitigates the environmental impacts of the process by reducing the volume of waste to the dispose of at the end of the process – effectively turning waste into renewable energy.
The Evogen Biogas Additive, which uses specially selected beneficial microbes, underwent stringent efficacy tests across Europe including a live trial in the UK which secured pre-eminent results across all of its predetermined objectives. How we’re making a difference
Beneficial bacteria have been proven to have a positive effect on wastewater treatment plants in a variety of applications, but only select strains can perform well under the demanding conditions of wastewater treatment systems.
Our scientists use cutting-edge genomic analysis and microbiological techniques to determine the robustness, safety and metabolic capability of bacteria in order to find specific strains that will be efficacious in real world applications. This in-depth research then determines which bacteria we use in our products and ensures they perform, even in the most challenging environments.
Our Evogen wastewater treatment range is the result of this comprehensive research and offers effective solutions for use in industrial and municipal wastewater applications to maximise plant efficiency, reduce costs and assist in regulatory compliance. The product range comprises of solutions for wastewater treatment plant start-up and shock recovery, BOD/COD, FOG treatment and prevention, odour degradation, hydrocarbon removal, biofilm suppression, descaling and biogas production.
Our products are readily available across the UK and Europe, making them vastly accessible for municipal and industrial plants.
