Genesis Biosciences

Key appointment for Global Biosciences company

Global biosciences company, Genesis Biosciences, has made a key appointment at its Cardiff-based headquarters to support its expanding facility.

Following the research and development of a range of eco-benign® products, Peter Wallbank, from Abergavenny, has been appointed as regional business development manager to help raise awareness of the products.

Peter will be a great addition to the Genesis Biosciences team and I am confident he will make a significant contribution in his role as regional business development manager.

Through their Cardiff-based research and development laboratories, scientists at Genesis Biosciences create organic cleaning microbial formulas which work against other harmful or negative microbes. This removes the need for harsher chemical cleaning products, which in turn helps to protect the environment.

Peter Wallbank has an impressive background within the chemical sector that makes him suitable for his new role. Prior to working at Genesis Biosciences, he worked with an automotive company dealing with chemical sales and has also worked with a hazardous waste company.

Speaking about his appointment, Peter said: “Having worked in companies that deal with hazardous waste and harsh chemicals, and seeing the impact it has on the environment, it was interesting and rewarding to join Genesis Biosciences which is producing sustainable products using Genesis Biosciences eco-benign® platform”.

As part of his new role, Peter will be working closely with managing director John Clark in supporting the promotion of the award-winning alternative to harsh cleaning products. Target markets will include facilities management, cleaning and other major corporate markets, to assist these businesses in making sustainable purchasing decisions which consider the environment, product effectiveness, value in-use and protection of their staff and visitors.

Peter said: “Working at Genesis Biosciences has been great so far. I have been able to see the manufacturing side in the US laboratories and work closely with the team in the UK. It’s a great learning experience as the work is different from what I have done before, so it can be challenging, but the company is growing rapidly and my aim is to continue working to help support these developments”.

John Clark, of Genesis Biosciences, said: “Peter will be a great addition to the Genesis Biosciences team and I am confident he will make a significant contribution in his role as regional business development manager. Peter’s technical background in industrial waste makes him perfect for this type of complex product provision. He brings the right knowledge and insight to the role to help drive the company forward”.
