To mark ‘National Hygiene Week’ this year, we’ve teamed up with In Kind Direct in a bid to end hygiene poverty – an issue that affects 9 million adults in the UK.
Hygiene poverty is not being able to afford everyday personal hygiene products many of us take for granted. Many people experiencing hygiene poverty face the impossible choice to heat, eat or keep clean on a daily basis.
To raise awareness and help secure vital supplies for those who need it most, In Kind Direct’s Not a Choice campaign hopes to build empathy, reduce stigma and make it easier for people to both ask for, and offer support.
We’re proud to be supporting the campaign by donating a pallet of Biosan Sanitiser Aerosol – our fogging-style sanitiser that disinfects rooms in just 15 minutes.
The Aerosol is a versatile product; it can be used as part of a house clean, for example, or to completely disinfect a commercial washroom.
Anti-viral and anti-bacterial, it’s designed to kill harmful pathogens and can help keep personal and public spaces safe and clean in a move towards ending hygiene poverty.
Through product donation, we can help In Kind Direct distribute hygiene products to charitable organisations in their network across the UK, to support local communities experiencing hygiene poverty.
If you’re a member of the public and want to help, donate £10 which could help supply 6 hygiene packs, reducing the pressure on 6 families for a month – visit justgiving.com/campaign/notachoice to donate.
